I have mixed feelings about modern technology. Very mixed feelings. Its the foundation of my livelihood and something i wanted to participate in, since I was a child. But seeing the way it impacts all of our lives currently makes me anxious. I have been drawn into the bahaviour of scrolling/doomscrolling and overusing social media.But it has let me connect with people and ideas I dont think I would have had the chance to interact with without it. The natural resources going into the production of it are scarce and often harvested in a way that is incredibly unsustainable for both human beings and the ecosystem we life in. But it is by now woven into the core of how societies function and the the very best aspirations of human endeavors, science, knowledge transfer, community building, outreach, creativity.
